Laura
Vet Tech
I have worked at the Ark since June of 2012. I graduated from Globe University in 2010 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology and I received my dog training certification from Animal Behavior College in 2013. Working with and helping animals has always been a passion of mine-my first word was puppy! As a member of the Ark team, I am able to put that passion to good use. In my 11+ years here I have had the pleasure of watching patients grow from youngsters into their golden years and met many friendly faces. I am lucky to be a part of such an awesome team of people who help make a difference both at work and in our community. I love that every day brings something different and interesting, and we have fun while we work. My own personal zoo consists of a blue heeler mix named Kirby, 3 orange cats named Wanda, Groot, and Peggy, and a goldfish named Elmo that was left in an ice cream pail outside the clinic. In my free time I enjoy walks in the woods on our property with my dog and husband, reading, gardening, and playing the flute.

Vet Tech
I originally worked at the Ark in the early 2000’s doing kennel work and then came back in December of 2021 as a vet tech. I graduated from Globe University in 2012 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology. I have always had a passion for animals which led me to pursue this career path. Working at the Ark allows me to use that passion to provide care for our patients. I enjoy the camaraderie we share as team members. My zoo at home consists of golden retrievers, cats, and a cockatiel.
